WTSC AGM & CALL FOR BOARD OF DIRECTOR NOMINATIONS

Dear Club Member,
As a Member of the West Toronto Skating Club you are hereby invited to attend the Annual General Meeting of the Club. Please join us:
When: Saturday November 18th, 2017 at 4:30 pm
Where: Nixon Room, McCormick Arena 179 Brock Ave, Toronto
During the meeting the current Board of Directors will provide highlights of Club activities during the 2016/2017 season and the Treasurer will present the Club’s annual Statement of Financial Position.
Election of new Board Members:
We need more Board members! We encourage you as a member of the West Toronto Skating Club to consider joining the WTSC Board of Directors. Current members are parents of skaters in the club with various backgrounds and experience. We welcome new board members to join us in the volunteer work that we do. The Board is responsible for the general management of the club and we meet monthly.
Elections will take place at the WTSC AGM on November 18th at 4:30 pm. All elections will be for Members at Large, with roles designated after the election during a first Board Meeting following the AGM. If you have particular skills or interest in a particular role, please feel free to indicate them on your nomination form. The following positions need to be filled after the AGM: Treasurer, Coach Liaison and 3 Directors at Large.
Nomination Procedure:
Nominations should be submitted to the Nominating Committee in a sealed envelope by 4:29 pm on Tuesday November 7th. Nominations can also be submitted to the WTSC office in a sealed envelope marked 'Nominating Committee'. Nomination forms are also available at the Club Office. The Nominating Committee is chaired, as it has been for many years, by Kathryn Smith (thank you Kathryn!).
If you are unable to attend the meeting, please consider assigning another member as your proxy. Proxy forms can be found here and can be completed and given to Tanja in the WTSC Office before the start of the meeting on Saturday Nov 18th.
